Spend 8 weeks immersed in web development at UNF!
At this time, Jax Code Academy has two Advanced Web Development Bootcamps scheduled for the remainder of 2019. Our bootcamps are currently being held at the University of North Florida (UNF). The duration of each course is eight weeks. Class is in session Monday thru Friday, from 1pm to 3pm. Jax Code Academy’s Advanced Web Developer Bootcamp is a continuation of the Full-Stack Web Developer Bootcamp, and as such requires it’s completion before you can attend. This course was created to give you the opportunity to advance your coding career by expanding your knowledge and skills as a programmer.
Work on challenging projects for real clients
Advance towards becoming a pro in web development
Learn exciting new elements of programming
Jax Code Academy’s senior web development bootcamp is designed for those who are already familiar with basic coding, and as such it emphasizes more advanced programming than is taught in the standard web development course. This course primarily focuses on new concepts in coding, while also incorporating and expanding upon material from the initial bootcamp. You will engage in exciting projects, workshops and challenges; as well as take part in real-world programming jobs that involve learning to effectively communicate with clients. Our goal is to always have you learning to code by actually coding: utilizing all the information in conjunction, and in a meaningful way. We cover a wide range of applications and concepts, including but in no way limited to:
|Web Server Configuration||Google Services|
|Search Engine Optimization (SEO)||Model, View, Controller (MVC) Frameworks|
Bootcamp begins each day at 1pm in the University of North Florida’s John A. Delaney student union building. Students are in class from 1pm to 3pm. Your instructor will begin by going over the previous day’s assignments, before introducing new material. During class time students will be learning to use new information and techniques by incorporating this knowledge into the websites and applications they are currently building. Jax Code Teaching Assistants will be in the room to provide additional, personalized guidance and instruction. Your instructor and teaching assistants are there to help you through all assignments and jobs.
Before and after class time, students find a place (often on the UNF campus) to work on projects, either alone or in groups. Students are expected to continue studying materials provided and work on assigned projects outside of class hours. For group projects, students are provided with channels to easily communicate with each other, and are expected to be able to work together outside of class when needed. Jax Code Teaching Assistants will be available to help you via email, phone, and video call. The University of North Florida has a number of places to work and meet, such as the Student Union Building, Starbucks, food courts, and plenty of beautiful outdoor areas. WIFI is available campus wide so you can move about as you wish.
Following the conclusion of bootcamp, many of our students choose to stay at Jax Code Academy, working under our Internship Program; rather than seeking out immediate employment. This gives our graduates the opportunity to continue developing their skills and start building a résumé.
