Stephen Fitzmeyer, MD

  Jax Code Academy was founded by Dr. Stephen Fitzmeyer, a Physician Informaticist and career expert in web development. He currently serves as the CEO of Jax Code Academy.

  Dr. Fitzmeyer is a physician trained in clinical informatics, having completed an NRSA Research Post-doc Fellowship at Boston Medical Center and an Advanced Medical Informatics Post-doc Fellowship at the Veterans Administration Boston Healthcare System.

  He is also a specialist in Web Development and Health IT with over 35 years of experience.  Over the course of his career, he has built hundreds of web-based applications for clients including MIT, UF Medical School, Treatment Scores, UNF, Boston College, Boston Children’s Museum, Houghton Mifflin Interactive (Curious George and The Polar Express), ZDNet, WGBH/PBS and NOVA.
